Frequently Asked Questions
“Will the points I collect in one week be carried over to the next week?”
The points you collected from scanning a golden ticket will NOT be carried forward to the following week. However, the points gained from performing your daily check-ins for seven days consecutively WILL be carried forward until the end of the contest.
Your daily check-in MUST start on the first day of the week (Monday) and you must continue to check in for the rest of the week to earn your bonus points. If you start your check in midweek or if you miss a day, you are not entitled to bonus points. Only one check-in per day is allowed per account. Multiple accounts under the same person are not permitted.
“Can I scan the same Golden Ticket more than once to get more points?”
No, you will not gain more points by scanning the same Golden ticket multiple times on the same day. Each ticket’s link expires at 12am that same day.
“I am subscribed to The Star ePaper. Am I able to scan the Golden Ticket on the ePaper?”
No, scanning the Golden Ticket’s QR Code via The Star ePaper is NOT considered eligible for this contest. You must purchase The Star newspaper and scan the ticket from there.
“When will I find out if I won a prize?”
The winners will be contacted via phone call a week after the end of each week. For instance, the selected winners of Week 1 will be notified during Week 3.
